I mean I definitely think you should avoid tattoos on places that can affect you being employable if you plan to join a career in a field that this could be any level of an issue. But just let people get what they want, worst case scenario they can always get them mostly removed. The broad expanse of skin on the back means that even more intricate details can be utilized in the complex scripts that these tattoos use. The back is also a great choice for the ability to incorporate other design elements into the tattoo further down the road. Ideal for bigger and more detailed designs, while the placement further up the arm gives the wearer even more control over who does and doesn’t get to see their tattoo.

Perhaps you could think of idealized profiles of Olympus Mons and Valles Marineris. Olympus Mons is the largest mountain in the system; doesn't get more Martian than that. I love when actors get to rock their legit ink. I'm not into getting any but as an artist I do appreciate seeing them on those who do. There have been a few posted to the sub. I also remember one with the Roci logo on his arm that I can't seem to find.

The ornate script of these Est. I don't think its any crazier than people getting Lord of the Rings tattoos. There were at least a couple posted within the last month. In the books tho there are Belters with the split circle on their arms.
Practically every tattoo shop in the country proudly sports their Est. The top of the shoulder is a unique and eye catching place to apply ink. The tattoo could also be used by a person who wants to recognize a specific year or time. This year or time could be the moment that he feels marked the beginning of a new life.

I'm gonna just give you my idea even though it's not completely relevant to your requests. The blue of a drive plume could be an inspiration. The expanse is weird as a whole, I love so many different elements from both entertainment mediums, that it's really hard to get that down into a tangible image. For sure, that's one of the things I love about their background. The idea that their whole society is driven towards the goal of terraforming, is really inspiring. Id probably end up getting something much more subtle, like a Belter tattoo on my wrist or arm, small and not overtly "from a show" so I know its significance.

Someone recommended the Belter neck tattoo around my wrist or finger. I also understand your rationale. With me I get tattoos about things which are important to me, so even when I look back on it years later I can be reminded of what was important to me in my past, even if it isn't now. Some of these might be temporary, as there are a few folks with temporary tattoo posts on this sub, but hey.
Someone posted a picture of that too. Tattoo is nothing more than the abbreviation of the word ‘established.’ To others, this acronym means a lot more. I don’t know if it’s work or what but I’m just flat out not creative at all right now. I turn 40 at the end of the month but I’m not in a rush so I have plenty of time to think of something unique. I’m hoping to find an artist who is also a fan to make it even more special.

This man might have a story to tell, and it might start with that Est. Year that he chose to tattoo on his skin. The tattoo can surely be a conversation starter. I think MCRN would look cool running down the backside of an arm. Like you don't notice it until you are walking away. The nose art of the Roci is definitely an upper arm piece, maybe chest. The OPA symbol you could put anywhere but it just screams to be put on a neck. I think this is such a bad way to look at this, you realize television shows and movies, or just media in general can have profound effects on peoples lives right? How is it cringe if you like it?

Hi everyone, I'm a big fan of this series, just finished reading up to book 8 in preparation for book 9 (yay!). I think I'd like to get an expanse themed tattoo, this story has been a big part of my life, might as well express it.
The Expanse is a space opera, mystery-sci-fi drama television series on Prime Video based on the bestselling novels by James S. A. Corey. The variety of lines of the ribcage can also be incorporated into designs that can help a tattoo pop and make for a more dynamic piece. Tattoos demonstrate, the torso is a great location for ink. I remember when I was younger, I saw artist impressions of a terraformed Mars, a sequence of images from dusty red world to a luscious green one. That always stuck with me, and aesthetically, they nailed how I'd envisage a state of the art fleet, and I love the naming convention of ships. They're always mostly history lessons, I like the deep diving. Lite version of the Roci...as in the ship itsself or the WW2 style nose art they put on it? I would go with the nose art myself. For extreme minimalistic do the OPA symbol or maybe MCRN.
